Enclosed Auto Transport

At Red Carpet Auto Transport, we fully  believe in the customer having options when it comes to shipping  their vehicle, and one of those options is enclosed transport. But  what is enclosed transport, you ask?

It’s simple. Enclosed transport is when your vehicle is placed inside a container to be shipped,  as opposed to being placed on a large auto transport carrier (like those that take new vehicles to the dealerships). Enclosed transport,  however, is not for everyone – it is much more expensive, for starters, and there are fewer enclosed auto transport carriers on the  road, so finding one could take longer.

However, there are benefits to enclosed  auto transport. For one, your vehicle is completely safe from any  inclement weather or road hazards such as rocks or ice. This is  perhaps one of the biggest things that enclosed transport has going  for it. Also, fewer cars can fit into an enclosed carrier, which  means that you won’t have to worry about mud or anything else  falling onto your vehicle, as can happen during open transport.

But enclosed transport, like we said, is not for everyone. Typically, if you’re shipping just a regular sedan or pickup, you don’t have to pay the extra cash to have enclosed transport – your vehicle will be just fine without it. We recommend enclosed transport for people who have rare or classic vehicles, such as a classic Rolls Royce, as those are incredibly expensive vehicles and are hard to fix should something damage it.

We also recommend enclosed transport  for things such as expensive sports cars, but like we said, for  regular vehicles, enclosed transport is much too expensive and open  transport rarely damages the vehicle. Will your car get dirty on an  open carrier? Maybe. But usually that’s about it. This is why we  recommend enclosed transport for those vehicles that don’t want to  get dirty.
