1. By entering into this agreement with Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. customer agrees that he/she is legal owner or legal authorized agent of said vehicle(s) and has legal authority to authorize transport of said vehicle(s) through Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. agrees to have vehicle(s) described on quotation shipped on or about the dates of requested. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. will designate a reliable, licensed and insured carrier (agent) to fulfill the terms and conditions of this agreement.  Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. or its Agents do not guarantee a specific pickup or delivery date. Normal pick up time is from 1 to 10 business days. All dates that are given are an approximation as there are many factors that affect the pick-up and delivery dates (weather, traffic, maintenance, delays, etc.).  Quoted price is just an educated estimate of what we feel a carrier will transport your vehicle for. This is not a guaranteed price and can change if carrier wants more to take your vehicle, customer will be given the option of accepting or declining any price that differs from the quoted price.  It is our obligation to call you and let you know any price that is requested by the carrier, the final choice will always be your.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. will not collect deposit until we have confirmation of pick-up. Deposit is paid to Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc; not to the carrier/driver. At time of order placement, customer will need to provide deposit payment information, which will be placed in the file until pick-up confirmation is received. Upon confirmation of pick-up, Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. will charge credit or debit card or process Personal check electronically for the deposit amount only. If paying through Paypal you will need to let your PAE know so an invoice can be sent to you, all payments received through Paypal without an invoice will be returned and customer will need to wait for invoice before paying. Remaining balance will be paid to the carrier/driver upon delivery of vehicle(s).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. All vehicles to be delivered with a balance due shall be paid by CASH ONLY (US funds). Should delivery be attempted after attempted notification (3 to 24 hours voice notification to phone numbers provided by shipper) and shipper or his agent does not have proper funds or is unavailable to receive delivery, vehicle(s) will be taken to and left at the nearest storage facility at the discretion of the carrier, where shipper will have to retrieve and pay for storage or redelivery fees.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5.  Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. accepts Personal checks as well as Credit and Debit Cards (Visa, MC, AMEX, & Discover). We also accept payments made online through PayPal.  It costs our company money to accept the carrier’s truck charge and that will be passed on to you. If shipper wishes to pay the whole transport tariff and have Red Carpet Auto Transport invoice the truck there will be a 10%  administration fee on the total tariff amount except Hawaii, Alaska and International shipments.  International and Offshore shipments will incure a 5% fee, this is included in the original quoted amount. If you need this service, you will need to notify Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. at the time you book your shipping order. On Hawaii, Alaska and International shipments all fee's are included. All Hawaii, Alaska and International shipments ar Partial Prepay and payment will need to be made at the time the order is placed. All returned checks will be charhged a $59.00 NSF fee.

6. Carrier's responsibility begins when the shipper or his agent signs the Bill of Lading at pick up and terminates when the shippet or his agent signs Bill of Lading at delivery. It is the responsibility of the shipper or his agent to request a signed and dated copy of the Bill of Lading from the carrier before he leaves pick up site. By asking for a signed and dated copy it protects the shipper from any changes being made on it. This is a legal document as to the condition of your vehicle upon pick up and protects the shipper as well as the carrier and is used to help settle damage claims.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

7. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc must be notified, should the shipper be unavailable for pickup or delivery, and his agent must be designated at that time. It is also shippers responsiblity to provide enough contact information and be reachable while we are looking for a carrier of customer's vehicle. If for any reason customer is unavailable or unreachable for more than 8 hours it is their responsiblity to let Red Carpet Auto Transport know of this. If Red Carpet Auto Transport tries unsuccessfully to reach shipper over a 8 hour period contract can be cancelled at discretion of Red Carpet Auto Transport. If a carrier is sent out and vehicle cannot be picked up there will be an additional $159.00 rescheduling fee. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. will not be responsible for rental fees of any kind, nor will we be responsible for damage of any kind. Client knows, understands and agrees that any additional fees owed will be collected immediately through payment form in file.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

8. Red Carpet Auto Transport does not condone nor do we participate in double booking. Double booking is when a shipper is contracted to more than one broker for the same vehicle. This hurts the customer in that trucks do not like to schedule to pick-up vehicles that are listed by more than one broker, and ultimately customers vehicle could sit for a very long time. It also costs companies money and time, and since Red Carpet Auto Transport works for free until customer's vehicle is picked-up, we do not allow double booking. If Red Carpet Auto Transport finds that contracted customer is double booked with another company, customer will be charged a $159.00 fee and contract will be cancelled. Client knows, understands and agrees that any additional fees owed will be collected immediately through payment form in file.

9. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. hereby notifies shipper that their vehicle will be driven on and off the transporter, or to and from the transporter at the pickup or delivery site. The transportation of your vehicle is door to door. There will be times when it is not safe for the driver, to bring his carrier to your pick-up address or there will be residential and weight restrictions for particular areas. Under these circumstances the driver will arrange with the customer to meet at another destination (gas station, grocery store, etc.) Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. nor the assigned carrier will be responsible
for any accident or damage that may happen while vehicle is still in customers or designated parties possession before it is delivered to the carrier, and Bill of Lading is signed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

10. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. does not guarantee transport by any specific driver/carrier. We do guarantee that any driver/carrier will be properly licensed and insured per Federal Motor Carriers Regulations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

11. If you are shipping an inoperable vehicle, you may be required to help load and unload said vehicle at the discretion of the driver. Should vehicle(s) become inoperable during transport, $250.00 will be due at time of delivery in addition to any other moneys owed. It is shipper’s responsibility to make sure vehicle is in proper working order, this includes battaries and tires. This term also applies to the type of vehicle selected. Prices of transport vary depending on the type of vehicle selected.  Upon the pick-up of the vehicle, if the type of vehicle does not match the vehicle specified in your booking, or the vehicle has been modified (lifted, big tires, lowered etc.) and we were not made aware of these modifications additional fees will be applied up to $500 which will be determined by the driver at the time of pick-up and marked on the Bill of Lading. these additional fees will need to be paid upon delivery. Please confirm selections are correct on order receipt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

12. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc or its agents will not knowingly transport vehicles with personal or household items in the passenger or trunk compartment. Federal regulation prohibits Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc or its agents from doing so. If such items are shipped unbeknownst to Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc or its agents, such items become the sole responsibility of the shipper.   Personal or household items are not covered by insurance and if any damage occurs to the vehicle due to the personal/household goods, that damage will not be covered under insurance either. The fine for personal/household items in a vehicle is up to $10,000, and that fine will be passed on to the client shipping the vehicle. Also know that should personal or household items be found during an inspection at a weigh station your vehicle will be pulled off of the carrier and it will be your responsibility as the registered owner to go and claim your vehicle personally at your own expense. You will still be responsible for tatal shipping costs of contract originally entered into with Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. and any and all agents involved in the transport of your vehicle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

13. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. or its agents will not be responsible for acts of God (fire, flooding, hail, sand storm, tornadoes, and earth quakes) or objects flying from the road or sky during transport. 14. Shipper is responsible for preparing the vehicle(s) for transport.  All loose parts, fragile or protruding accessories, low-hanging spoilers, fog lights, antennas, etc., must be removed and/or properly secured. Any part that falls off in transit is shipper’s responsibility, including damages done by said part to any and all vehicles involved.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

15. If damage should occur, all moneys owed for transport must be paid to initiate a claim. Damage must be noted in the proper place on the bill of lading, and signed by driver and shipper, regardless of weather, or time of day. Signing the bill of lading without any notation of damage verifies that shipper or his agent has received the said vehicle in good condition, and that Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. and its agents are relieved of any further responsibility. Shipper or his agent MUST check vehicle thoroughly before signing Bill of Lading.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

16. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. and its agents must also be notified of any damage by phone within 24 hours. Shipper must submit in writing a description of damage, clear pictures, and 2 estimates within 10 days of receipt of said vehicle directly to the designated carrier for any resolution to be initiated unless stated otherwise on the Bill of Lading. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. will support you in this effort should such a problem occur, but in no way will Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. accept responsibility for any negligence of the assigned carrier. If your vehicle is valued at a higher than market rate, we suggest you purchase a special insurance rider.

 

17. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. also arranges transport of vehicles to Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Puerto Rico, into Canada and Overseas. All such transports require payment in full at time of booking. There will be no exceptions. Shipments going into Canada will transfer to a Canadian Carrier once it reaches the border. It may be stored at an approved facility while awaiting customs clearance. All storage fees incurred at ports will be the customer's responsibility and will need to be paid before port will release vehicle to our carrier. Customer knows and agrees to these conditions of transport at time of order. Should Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. not be able to transport vehicle and order is cancelled by either party, a full refund will be initiated immediately to customer.

 

18. All parties agree that all actions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Clark County, Vancouver, Washington. Shipper specifically waives any right to judicature of this matter at any other location. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. can only be liable for up to the amount of the deposit located on your quotation. In no case can Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. be held liable for the designated carrier’s damage. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. will provide carriers insurance certificate and carrier information should any controversy arise.

 

19. If you place an order with us, you have the option to cancel any time prior to your vehicle being assigned to a transporter, should you cancel after vehicle is assigned to a transporter you will be charged a $159.00 administration fee. If your vehicle is booked on a transporter before you fax or email your cancellation, you will still be responsible to pay the $159.00 administration fee to Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. To cancel you must either fax or email your cancellation request to cancel@redcarpetautotransport.com or you can fax your cancellation to 360-504-9510. Client knows, understands and agrees that any additional fees owed will be collected immediately through payment form in file.

 

20. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. is a licensed and bonded Auto Broker. We are responsible for booking the shipment of cars with a licensed and insured Motor Carrier Corporation, who handles their own damage claims. It may take a few weeks to process your claim, since the drivers must return to their terminals with the original Bill of Lading condition reports.

 

21. Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. will not be responsible for demurrage at any Port Facilities.

 

22. Customers must make their vehicle available during the transport time, if the vehicle becomes unavailable at any time after the order has been place and a carrier has been assigned, without properly notifying Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. you will be responsible for $159.00 administration fee. This includes not having the vehicle paid for. Should your vehicle be assigned and we find out later the vehicle is not paid for and pick up party will not release it to the carrier you will be charged $159.00 rescheduling fee. Your vehicle will be removed from the National Loads Board until you provide Red Carpet with proof of payment in full for the vehicle. Client knows, understands and agrees that any additional fees owed will be collected immediately through payment form in file. 

23. All discounts must be requested by the customer before order is placed, there will be no exceptions as a discount can not be retroactively applied. Red Carpet Auto Transport offers discounts to Active Military Personnel, Disabled Individuals, Senior Citizens, and Full Time Students. Any emails, or coupons offering a discount cannot be used after order is placed and will not be honored.

24. By either submitting your order online, placing it over the phone, sending us your order by fax or by email, Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. understands you are placing your order and you accept the terms and conditions (in lieu of your signature) found here and on Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. web site.

 

 Neither Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. nor its agents shall be responsible for the following:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

·        Damage to undercarriage, exhaust system, suspension, wheel bearings, tie downs, brakes, alignment, tuning, charging system or battery. (No evaluation is made of these components or systems at pickup location; therefore Red Carpet Auto Transport, Inc. or its agents do not accept responsibility for them.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

·        Damage to car phones or antenna under any condition (suggests that they may be removed).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

·        Loss of or damage to audio or video equipment not installed at the factory, including antenna that does not retract to within 3 inches of the vehicles body.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

·        Damage or fines incurred because shipper left personal or household items in vehicle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

·        Damage caused by fluids or objects flying up from the roadway, or out of the sky.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

·        Damage caused by leaking fluids, such as battery acid, gas, motor oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, radiator coolant, or fallout resulting from acts of God.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

·        Damage caused by freezing of cooling system and/or battery.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

·        Damage to, or caused by any vehicle that cannot be driven on or off the transport under its own power. (Vehicle will not run, or has lost its braking system.)
