Shipping a Classic Car with Red

Shipping a classic car is incredibly  easy when you choose Red Carpet Auto Transport, and in this article  you’ll see just what happens, from the moment you get a quote until  the vehicle is delivered.

When you first call us for a quote,  we’ll give you one – right over the phone. Once you decide to  ship your classic car with us, however, we will place an order and  gather some additional information – specifically, addresses and  the like so we know where you want your car to come from and to go  to. After that, we will assign a truck to your account and they will  pickup your classic car within one to seven days of placing your  order. This does depend on whether or not you want enclosed  transport, which we discuss on our Enclosed Transport page, and  finding an enclosed carrier can take longer – so please, keep that  in mind.

Anyway, once the carrier arrives at  your door – because we offer door to door service – both you and  the driver will do a walk around the vehicle to note anything that  might be wrong with the car – or, in cases of classic vehicles, how  pristine it is. We understand how much your car means to you, and we  want to make sure that any new damages that may result from transport  (which, rest assured, are rare) are paid for by our insurance and not  by yours.

Now, once the vehicle is on the truck,  it will drive away, and depending on where you’re shipping to can  take anywhere from seven to fourteen days for delivery. Again, this  can take longer depending on where you’re shipping from and to, and  it can also take less time. But don’t worry, we’ll let you know  when the vehicle is expected to arrive and we’ll keep you informed  of any changes to the schedule.

Once the vehicle is delivered, both you  and the driver will do another walk around the car to note anything  that has changed – damages or otherwise – and if there should be  any damage, we will take the necessary steps to get it taken care of.  However, damage during transport is rare, as we’ve said, so don’t  be too afraid. The driver will then offload the vehicle and you’ll  be all set!
