The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, or FMCSA, is an administration within the U.S. Department of Transportation, and is responsible for reducing crashes, injuries and fatalities involving large trucks and buses. Specifically, they develop and enforce regulations that balance motor carrier safety with efficiency in the industry and provide safety information to any and all motor carrier companies.
They also provide educational messages to carriers, commercial drivers and the public and they work closely with federal, state and local governments to ensure that risk for drivers is greatly reduced.
The FMCSA is truly the safety backbone of the auto transport industry. They are the guiding light for any and all drivers, and their regulations are strictly followed. Red Carpet Auto Transport only uses carriers who are in good standing with the FMCSA and who do not have any safety problems whatsoever.
The FMCSA ensures that all carriers are within the regulations, and any that are not will be shut down immediately. The U.S. highway system is huge, and is shared by everyone – the FMCSA knows this, and they work tirelessly to make sure that anyone that is on the road is safe…especially auto transport companies.
